Autumn Vibes

Just like that...it's September again. A bit of a catch up post because it's been a while. It's been a bit of a slow year. The Summer was a little strange with no visiting friends or family. The veg patch was a complete flop thanks to a cold Spring and a very wet Summer. It was pretty disheartening having next to no produce just when you think you're starting to get the hang of things, but I know it's been a tough year growing wise for many. The kids got into their routine of LEGO as always and were quite happy amusing themselves. Considering we did very little the 8 week break went by pretty fast.

This month it's been all about getting back into to school and work. La rentrée went well, although after literally 2 days the snotty noses started and we've had two kids off sick already. I've been sewing and adding new products to my shop and Andrew has been busy with Media Man work. We've caught the DIY bug and had a go at our first wallpapering project in the house. I'm on a mission to work my way through room by room decorating and decluttering as I go. The fresher mornings are turning our attentions to our wood pile. It's time to start processing all the wood we cut last winter and pray we cut enough (and that it's dry enough) to last us through till Spring. We've also just had a truck load of stone arrive to start work in the barn.

So there's lots on the horizon and with a little more time on my hands I'll be back in this space sharing what we get up to. Don't forget you can follow us over on Instagram @wildoakwood and @wildoakwoodshop and if you ever fancy saying hi drop us a DM or email, we love hearing from you!
